Well I suppose I should write something new here... maybe it will start a trend and everyone will update their blogs too!
Well everyone is good, although very annoyed. Our floors are being re done , and as skilled tradesman will do, they are making us wait around, and wait, and wait. If they reschedule one more time I think my hair will fall out. At one point I was unhappy with my old yucky carpets, but now all I want is to wake up in the morning and not have to stare at someone else's furniture, or books or stuff all over my house. I have to admit that my new floors look good, but they show every speck of dirt. Jacinda starts horseback riding next Monday, and Jared will be spending a few days at the daycare I work at going on field trips, and swimming. We also have plans to visit the Atlantic playland soon. I have to start buying the hated school supplies again soon, and have to get a habit breaker for Jacinda, am trying to get bikes for the kids, and have an anniversary to plan (11 years, woo hoo we are hoping to escape for a few days)
Wish me luck... and maybe some patience.

My Boss
I told my boss(Renee) that I would write a blog entry about her because she has failed to comment on my blog when she visits. Renee is a very nice woman( works hard, has a family, fires us every day, then gives us back our jobs.......lol she smiles when she says it of course!) She will be going away on vacation for the next few weeks( some away, but most at home) and has been fluttering around the Centre from place to place making sure everything is is working order. I think that she is afraid that something will go terribly wrong while she is away(I hope she is not having premonitions!!) I think that she hired us because we were all hard working, reliable, and dedicated people, and therefore I wish to offer her some words: he hem(clear throat)
1) A vacation is time to get away from work and worry, not a time to worry about work!
2) You are going to be alone with your husband and no children or pets, surely you can find something to do that will make you not worry about work(wink, wink, nudge, nudge)
3) If an emergency should arise at work when you are away, All of your staff know how to dial 9-1-2,( oops I mean 9-1-1 lol)
4)All work and no play makes Renee start wrangin
5) Lastly nothing as bad as the last couple of weeks(sick kids, staff away, missed milk deliveries, and staff dismissals) could happen again so soon, so go enjoy and relax!

There is nothing harder then losing someone you love, I know because I've done it. However this time it is not me, but someone we care about. I went to the store and tried to find a card that could voice our condolences, and yet not be annoying. Almost every card brought back memories, of people saying we're soooo sorry, and if you ever need someone to talk to...... After hearing and feeling so much in such a short time, I became numb and didn't want to hear another word. So instead of words of sympathy, here are some words about how wonderful grandmothers can be.......

A grandma is warm hugs and sweet memories. She remembers all of your accomplishments and forgets all of your mistakes. She is someone you can tell your secrets and worries to, and she hopes and prays that all your dreams come true. She always loves you, no matter what. She can see past temper tantrums and bad moods, and makes it clear that they don't affect how precious you are to her. She is an encouraging word and a tender touch. She is full of proud smiles. She is the one person in the world who loves you with all her heart, who remembers the child you were and cherishes the person you've become.

WHAT ARE GRANDMAS FOR?
Grandmas are for storiesabout things of long ago.Grandmas are for caringabout all the things you know...Grandmas are for rocking youand singing you to sleep.Grandmas are for giving younice memories to keep...Grandmas are for knowingall the things you're dreaming of...But, most importantly of all,Grandmas are for love.

they are sending him home!!!!! Lee is going to be sent home sometime thhrough the day today, the doctors are giving him perscritions that he will be on (some permanatly I think) and with referals to a liver specialist( his enzymes are up) A gaestro specialist( about having some sort of procedure is stomache stapling) and the hypertension clinic. He will become an outpaitient when he is released later today.
I need to seriously thank Amanda and Greg and Sheena(Sydney and Kyle's parents). Amanda watched the kids all night and cleaned the house, she was even going to call in sick to stay home (what a sweetie!). Greg and Sheena you guys have gone out of your way to help us in our time of need, taking the kids down to the Canada day festivities, keeping them over night....I hope your still sane today after 4 kids all night long. Thank you sooo much.
Jennifer

Well that was not the best nights sleep I ever had, let me tell you. Lee probably feels the same, as they woke him up thhrough the night , over and over for blood pressure checks and blood tests. His pressure through the night was 118 over 60, awsome huh? Lets see what today will bring for him. I'm off to go find some food, and to go with my sweetie. Did you ever have something scare you soo much, that you thought that one of your most special things was going to be taken away, and you feel like the wind has been knocked out of you? This whole thing reminds me so much of my dad, an obese guy with a beard, heart and blood pressure problems, diabetes, etc, etc. I am going to do everything I can to avoid the same results here.....
Love to everyone, especially Lee and my kids.

It is just after 12 here, and I guess I dozed off watching Deep Impact, because I was awakened by a women screaming for the nurses because she wants a new pillow case(she is on the other side of the unit!!!) She is continuing to scream over and over, apparently that is normal for her. It is freezing here, Lee is due for more blood work at 1 am, and at last check his blood pressure was up to 135. I think they are trying to see what sort of dose of meds he should get, because every now snd then he recieves some more pills. It is freezing in here and I want my winter coat, the nurses are trying to find me a cot, so I can lay down for a spell, while lee sleeps.
Thanks for all of the phone calls and visits everyone. It is helping to keep Lee occupied. The nurses like the idea of using a blog to keep family updated, they were impressed and said that a blog would be a neat way of keeping a large extended family updated to news of what is happening to their loved ones at a hospital when not everyone can come. No other news yet...I'll post if there is.

Update!!!!!

Lee's blood pressure is now down to a healthy 121 (with meds). The initial blood results have come back saying there has been no damage to his heart, they are repeating these as we speak and will do so again at 1 in the morning. Lees nurses Paul and Chris (two really nice guys) Are laughing at Lee insistance that he will not be here tomorrow so I don't need fill out his meal order for tomorrow, they say they like how much conviction he has when he says it, but they agee with me that he should order food as a precaution unless he is wrong( you know because Lee isn't exactly a doctor........) Lee was very happy to have the kids visit, but there was some trouble when they arrived. The kids got here when Lee was having blood drawn, and blood was all over his arm, and on his tray because they were having trouble finding a vein( for each blood sample or I.V Lee has had roughly 4 or 5 pricks to gets results, so far thats about 30 pricks). So Lee had them wait to finish untill the kids were gone. I will write more as I hear more....
Jennifer

For those who have heard from me today, here is what is going on, Lee has been admitted to the hospital( QE2) Last night he was having extreme chest pains, and when we got in in was discovered that his blood pressure was over 300. There is no way to know the exact number because the cuff doesn't read higher then 300. He was in danger of having a heart attack or a stroke......He is now down to about 150 with I.V meds. The doctors are checking out his kidney's and they believe he has symptoms of early diabetes( he has some tenderness in his liver area) There is a chance that he will get out tomorrow, but it is not for sure. If he does they will continue to treat him as an outpatient. The doctors are recommending that he goes in for a stomach stapling surgury for his health and are referring him to a specialist. I will continue to post as I hear more( yes from the hospital)
